The Yards
The Yards were born on Sunday November 5, 2000 at z'gwon,th studios in Lawrence, Kansas. Top-shelf funk rhythm masters from the hot Lawrence scene got together for one day in the studio to make a Hammond organ-driven, funky drumming-propelled batch of tunes that quickly gained a life of their own on the worldwide web. Shows opening for John Scofield, Karl Denson, and Toots & the Maytals followed. The Yards continue today to "keep it funky".
