Kansas, Topeka

Building of Kansas, and the Topeka Zoo, Topeka has something for anyone to enjoy.
Rich in culture, the city of Topeka
holds several annual festivals including the St. Patrick’s Day
Parade, Fiesta Mexicana, Topeka Railroad Days Festival, Topeka Cider
Days, Miracle on Kansas Avenue Christmas Parade and Celebration, and
the Shawnee County Fair. Other
attractions include various golf courses, the Topeka Civic Theatre,
the Kansas History Museum, Heartland Park Topeka Racetrack and the
Ward-Meade Park Botanical Gardens and Old Prairie Town.
Topeka
was once the home of U.S. Vice President Charles Curtis, Jazz Saxophonist
Coleman Hawkins, Poet Gwendolyn Brooks, and the classic
rock band, Kansas.
