Joseph A. Karnes joined Central National Bank's Trust and Investment Services division in January of 2007 as Vice President and Trust Officer.  Mr. Karnes primarily serves Lawrence and the surrounding communities.
 
Joe received his Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Central Michigan University graduating Cum Laude. Prior to coming to Central National Bank, Mr. Karnes worked for Prudential Financial Services and Allstate Financial Services.  Joe earned his Certified Long Term Care designation in 2001.
 
Outside the office Joe is actively involved in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors having been an officer on the local board for the last 8 years. Mr. Karnes is a past president of the Lawrence NAIFA chapter. In addition to his work in the financial industry, Mr. Karnes works with the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network. He is part of the on air game day broadcast of Chiefs football. The network is the second largest in the National Football League.
 
Mr. Karnes is married and has two girls. He has coached soccer, basketball and softball teams his girls have played on.  Joe is also a member of USA Triathlon and competes each summer in triathlon events in northeast Kansas.
