What are the restrictions on the type of mobile devices that can receive text alerts from smsGuardian?

smsGuardian works with any phone with text messaging capabilities.

How do I let smsGuardian know that a transaction is fraudulent?

You can reply to messages with the code you are sent in order to request that your debit card be turned off, thus stopping further fraudulent activity.

What if I no longer want smsGuardian?

You may discontinue the receipt of Alerts immediately by texting the word STOP in reply to an alert.

What happens if I lose my mobile device?

Since your account data is not stored on your mobile device, your information cannot be stolen. When you find or replace your device, simply edit your Mobile Settings and make any changes to the Wireless Provider and/or Phone Number.  If your device is lost or stolen and you are concerned someone may be able to shut your card off via smsGuardian, simply log into smsGuardian, click on the Devices tab, and delete your device from the list.

What do I need to do if I get a new phone?

If you get a new phone, but are using the same phone number and provider, no changes on your part are necessary. If you switch phone numbers, log in to smsGuardian, click the Devices tab, add your new device and remove the old one. smsGuardian will not work if your phone number is incorrect.

What do I do if I get a new card number?

You will need to activate each of your cards for smsGuardian alerts. Click Here to sign up a new card.

When will I receive text messages?

You will receive text messages immediately after purchases are made that meet the alert criteria. If you'd like to change when you are notified, log in to smsGuardian, click Preferences, and enter a window of time when you do not wish to receive messages.
