At the junction of I-70 and I-135 you will find the city of Salina. Located in central Kansas, Salina is a growing city. Both former Kansas Governor Bill Graves and Astronaut Steve Hawley have called Salina home.
Salina is home to Kansas Wesleyan University, Kansas State University - Salina, Brown Mackie College, Salina Area Technical College, Hays Academy of Hair Design, and the Highway Patrol Training Academy. While these schools bring in students from all over, attractions like the Rolling Hills Zoo, the Smoky Hill Museum, the Stiefel Theater, Salina Art Center, Salina Speedway, the Salina Bicentennial Center and the Fly Wheels Yesteryear Museum also attract an abundance of visitors.
From sporting events to the Smoky Hill River Festival, Salina always has something going on. Popular cuisine in Salina include the famous Cozy Burgers and the excellent Hickory Hut BBQ as well as popular chain restaurants: Chili's, Olive Garden, Applebee's and Longhorn's Steakhouse.
